 Just because...

Where I live the dirt is black clay. I've heard it is not good for pottery. I believe them, but how bad is it?

Figured I'd find out.

Looked for an area with a lot of cracks, dug down below grass. Added water and mixed it up.

After it set for a few minutes I poured it through some screen. 

 

 

 

 

Poured it into a pillowcase to drain the water out.

After a few days its still wet, but put it in a bucket to finish drying out. It's sticky, so I will probably need to add something to it. 

I will make a small bowl and see what happens. Probably wont be for another week or 2 before I try that.

Bird Dive

It has been a few months since I painted anything. I still need to get some better pictures of a few of my paintings.

This one was tough to name, I see well over 20 things in this one. How many do you see?

I took a picture of it on the wall before adding the painting hanger to see what it looked like.

I liked the first circle of 5ths so much I decided to try another one.
I will try and get some better pictures when the sun comes out.
